Are you a qualified Accounts Senior / General practice Senior from a small or medium firm background looking to upgrade to a niche practice in London that specialises in working with music, media, creative and entertainment clients? Are you also looking to work in a general practice role, where you can utilise all of your accounts, tax, supervisory and advisory skills? If so, this growing independent accountancy practice with around 30 staff is looking to recruit a new member of staff due to impressive growth over the last few years. Based in the business services department, your role will be varied, and will include preparing statutory and management accounts for clients, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns, supervising junior members of staff, reviewing work as well as some ad hoc projects. A very strong emphasis is put on the advisory side of accountancy and you will be expected to provide value added advice to your clients on a regular basis. Your role will be a mixture of being hands on and supervisory, and you will be responsible for managing a few junior / AAT level staff. You will work directly with the partners and be the first point of contact for clients. Your client base will be varied and include an impressive array of SME and medium sized businesses, all from the music, media, creative, entertainment and art sectors.
To be considered for this new role it is likely you will be a qualified ACCA or ACA with at least 4 to 5 years of experience working for a small to medium size UK based practice firm. You will be either recently qualified or have some post qualification experience. It is likely you will either be an Accounts Senior looking to specialise in an interesting client base, and also to join a firm with better progression to full managerial grade. Your current role must include the above duties and you must now be looking to upgrade to a firm where you can advise interesting and high growth entrepreneurial clients and have high levels of responsibility from day one. Experience in a range of software packages would be an advantage.
