Accounts Semi-Senior

A proactive accountancy firm based in the heart of Sunderland who hold customer service at the forefront of their practice are seeking to appoint a Accounts Semi-Senior.

Keen to join a firm that encourages learning and development you will bring to the role experience in both accounts preparation and bookkeeping from an accountancy practice environment (essential).

Your key responsibilities will be the preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies across a range of sectors. Bookkeeping skills such as trial balance, VAT returns will also feature as part of your role, all done in the office as opposed to on site, using Sage and Iris.

You will work in a team who are used to providing training so any gaps in your practice experience is not a barrier if you can demonstrate you are the right person for the role. However we would ideally look for a minimum of 18 months practical experience in a similar position in practice.

You must be organised, able to manage your time and possess excellent communication skills with your colleagues, but also your clients who at times may be demanding, or need just that little bit extra of your time.

My client recognises the benefit of study and is able to provide support towards professional accountancy qualifications should this be of interest.

This may well suit someone who has been working in a small firm and now with a few years of experience behind them are looking to engage with a larger practice.
