On behalf of our client, an expanding and progressive practice, we are seeking an experienced Accounts/Audit Senior with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join the company’s team at its Richmond office. The success of this practice has necessitated recruitment to keep up with the growing number of clients.

This role will suit an ACCA or ACA studier, who has worked within a similar role within practice for a minimum of 2 years and is seeking to continue with their studies.

As Accounts and Audit Senior, the main functions and requirements of this role include:

  • Preparation of accounts (sole trader, partnership and company accounts)
  • Audit field work (approximately 30%)
  • Knowledge of personal taxation
  • Corporation tax
  • VAT returns
  • General day to day client accounts
  • Management accounts

Within this role, some travel to clients’ offices may be required and travel expenses will be paid in accordance with the firm’s travel policy

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will satisfy the following:

  • Current mid-stage studier (ACCA) with at least two years’ practice experience
  • Competent in preparing sole trader, partnership and company accounts to review stage based on incomplete books
  • Must have experience with audit work - experience of fieldwork essential
  • Knowledge of personal tax and the interaction between accounts work and personal tax returns an advantage
  • Ability to work closely with Senior Managers/Managers within the group
  • Strong academic history required, and first time passes in all professional exams preferable
  • Exemplary team player with a positive, client focused attitude
  • IT literate
  • Working knowledge of CCH, Xero and MS Office products, especially Excel, would be an advantage
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills, good spoken and written English are necessary conditions of employment
  • Working to high levels of accurately within defined deadlines
