 Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a leading independent supplier in the business energy market and have a permanent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join their busy team. This is a full time permanent opportunity.

The Role:



Based in the head office in Belfast and reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will support the accounts receivable department, with key duties including management of bank account items, reconciliations and assisting with monthly reporting.


More specific duties will involve:



Planning & overseeing the day to day activities of the Accounts Receivable team,

Ensuring key tasks and reconciliations have been completed,

Daily bank reconciliations & payment allocations (NI and ROI businesses)

Investigating and resolving payment allocation issues

Daily Third-Party payment provider reconciliations

Maintaining relationships with 3rd parties to ensure efficient escalation and solving of issue as they arise

Investigating & resolving internal and Customer queries

Customer account and Billing system analysis and interrogation

Admin tasks as and when required


Essential Criteria:



Candidates will have 5 GCSE’s including Maths & English Grade C and above, or equivalent

Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years accounts experience gained within a commercial environment

Accounts receivable experience would be preferred

Good working knowledge of computerised Accounts Packages and an advanced working knowledge of MS Excel including V Lookups & Pivot Tables would be advantageous

A working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
