ProTalent are currently working with a fast-paced digital accountancy company in Brighton to recruit an Accounts Professional.

The role to complete the company bookkeeping; to assist in the handling of all aspects of our
music industry client business management, accounting and relationships; to manage outsourced partners and to ensure work is delivered on-time, efficiently and to targets; to ensure that quality is upheld and that our client service is responsive; to follow best-practice, professional standards and regulations.

MAIN DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Action the company bookkeeping and ensure that it is being completed to a high standard
? Upload to Xero the company bank statement daily
? Approve relevant company sales and purchase invoices
? Monitor the company PayPal account
? Ensure that all GoCardless activity is correct and payments are received on time
? Make bi-monthly office payments
? Monitor client contact received regarding invoices, and forward on appropriately
? Handle company administration, including client post and correspondence
? Maintain accurate client jobs, activity and contact details in company CRM
? Upload good quality jobs to outsourcers in a timely fashion
? Help to organise workflow to ensure that there is a ready stream of work to and from outsourcers
? Liaise with our outsource partners to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and that turnaround times are adhered to
? Complete team billing in a timely manner
? Ensure that a 'clean email inbox’ is maintained to target and to work in-line with our customer service processes
? Working to meet the company financial objectives
? Prepare a range of specific accounting tasks including: accountancy certificates, A1s, certificates of residence, W-8BEN/W-8BEN-E, confirmation statements/annual returns as required
? Liaise with HMRC to resolve issues that arise on an ad-hoc basis as required
? undertake tasks as required by management from time to time

The applicant should have a proven track record in a customer service role, with experience in handling confidential data and handling and resolving client problems over the telephone. Perhaps in a customer service orientated role will be preferable but is not essential and experience of working in an accountancy practice or commercial finance team would be desirable.

? Ability to follow a process and to maintain focus to agreed daily, weekly and monthly goals
? Enjoy sharing knowledge in a communicative team-based workplace
? Ability to learn to use new apps, growth hacks and new ways of working
? Ability to identify how technology changes accountancy, how data improves quality and how insight improves outcomes
