Accounts / Payroll Clerk

An accounts practice in a beautiful rural location on the outskirts of Taunton are currently seeking an Accounts / Payroll clerk to join their established team.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, with a salary of £17,000 - £23,000 PA DOE and an excellent benefits package.

The successful applicant will ideally have working knowledge of Sage Accounts and a good understanding of Excel worksheets.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Sales ledger & purchase ledger
  • Payroll including SMP, SSP & other payroll deductions
  • General bookkeeping duties
  • Assisting with month end management accounts
  • General administrative work to support the department

Knowledge of Payroll is desirable, however if you have solid accounts experience then this is not essential as full training can be provided.

You would also be given the opportunity to visit clients on a 25 mile radius with the advantage of paid mileage and lunch allowance.
