My client a highly successful organisation that specialises in the manufacturing & construction industry based in Gloucester is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk on a full-time permanent basis. You will be working for an organisation that has formed its reputation on providing a high quality service.
Your new role
Your new role has developed in order to maintain accurate purchase ledgers and sub-contractor ledgers for the organisation. Your key responsibilities will include; purchase invoices and sub-contractor invoices, submitting invoices for approval, matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and good receipts, entering sub-contractor payments, making supplier payments, supplier statement reconciliations dealing with supplier queries, investigating discrepancies and dealing with any ad hoc duties as requested by the finance controller.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have recent experience working in a similar accounts payable role, ideally working within the manufacturing or construction industry. You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines. Previous experience using sage 50 & sage 500 is advantageous.
