Accounts Payable Clerk

Global Hi-Tech Organisation urgently requires an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their company on a temporary assignment. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting of invoices and employee expenses into the accounting system. Payment of invoices once approved.

Ensuring that the purchase ledger is maintained, and is reconciled to vendor statements on a regular basis and dealing with any queries that may arise. Arranging for payments of invoices to be made via Treasury.

Other Duties of the Accounts Payable Clerk include:

 Processing of invoices in PO system

 Ensuring correct VAT treatment has been applied

 Processing of employee expenses on expense system

 Monthly reconciliations of vendors

 Raising payments to Vendors (holiday cover)

 Filing of invoices and other documents as required

 Other general accounting duties as needed

 Other admin duties as needed

 Directly engaged with other members of the Accounting & Reporting team

 Work closely with Headquarters Treasury and Global Controllers

Requirements:

Education:

May be pursuing or completed recognised accounting qualification, but not essential

Experience:

Established practical finance experience with emphasis on exposure to multiple currency international environment. Must have a good understanding of VAT and Purchase Order process

Professional Knowledge and Skills:

Good knowledge of Excel, previous experience of using accounting systems

Personal Skills:

High attention to detail and accuracy. Team player able to collaborate and communicate well with others. Willingness to learn and enthusiasm to develop further skills and experience in accounting
