The client is a law firm based in the City of London.

Description

The responsibilities of the successful Part-Time Accounts Payable Assistant will include but are not limited to:

  • Reconciling invoices and supplier statements and entering onto the finance system

  • Responsible for obtaining all copy invoices and accountable for un-actioned items on supplier

  • Processing and pre-approving staff expenses for review by the Finance Director

  • Posting of counsel fees and maintaining register of VAT receipts to assist the Finance Director

  • Reconciling the company credit card statements and posting onto Aderant

  • Dealing with daily queries raised by suppliers and chambers

  • General office admin, including distribution of mail and filing

  • Assisting Legal Cashier with various other day to day tasks

  • Support team members throughout holidays as necessary

Profile

The successful Part-Time Accounts Payable Assistant will be:

  • Proactive and capable of prioritising workload

  • The ability to work to strict deadlines, especially at month/year end, balancing conflicting

  • Excellent attention to detail and good administrative skills

  • Adept at working independently and as part of a team

  • Experience of using a paperless system

  • Good organisational and time-keeping skills

  • Good understanding of VAT recovery processes

  • Knowledge of Aderant would be an advantage

Job Offer

On offer for the successful Part-Time Accounts Payable Assistant is an hourly rate between £13 and £17 an hour.
