With exclusive luxury goods and world-class customer service, Selfridges delivers an experience that’s second to none. But nothing would be possible without those working behind the scenes. Keeping invoices in order and building strong relationships with suppliers, you’ll reinforce our reputation.
KNOW THE ROLE
Sitting within the back office team in Leicester, it’ll be down to you to process all of our supplier invoices, keeping track of every transaction and logging every detail into the system. That means matching invoices to the relevant receipts and sorting out any issues that may be flagged up. It could be that a delivery has been made but there’s no invoice, or perhaps there’s an invoice but no delivery. Either way, you’ll make every effort to manage supplier expectations while at the same time maintaining complete accuracy of the accounts. And in order to make the process as efficient as possible, you’ll open new supplier accounts on the system within 48 hours. Volunteer for the occasional ad hoc task and you could be well on your way to a successful career in accounts management.
KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
With strong numeracy skills and a GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, you’ll have no problem dealing with a large volume of invoices. Success will come from your flair for detail, as well as your ability to prioritise and manage your own workload. And although we’ll give you all the training you need, basic computer skills are essential. But more than that, you’ll have a great work ethic and really enjoy teamwork.
We’re a world-famous retailer and the definitive shopping destination – one that’s all about entertainment, inspiration and above all, fun. From designer fashion to luxurious homewares and everything in between, we offer our customers only the very best.
KNOW WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
Employees at Selfridges’ stores and head offices enjoy careers that provide inspiring experiences, exciting challenges and amazing benefits. They also know that Selfridges is committed to developing its talent, which allows for a wide scope of amazing opportunities as the business continues to grow.
