Our client are an established sub-contractor working mainly within the construction industry. They oversee a large team of French polishers who contract jobs mainly within the London Area. Due to the high volumes of work they are looking to take on an Accounts & Office Assistant. They pride themselves on completing jobs to the highest of standards, and their office environment reflects this.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and hardworking. They want someone who will go the extra mile and who takes pride in a job well done. You must be enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking and to be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.

Duties include:

Preparing accounts (Quickbooks)

Preparing/paying employee’s wages

Preparing job costings

Preparing estimates/invoices

Credit control

Stock control

General day to day assistance to the Director and contracts Manager.

Essential Experience/Skills:

Previous Office Experience

Experience of working with Quickbooks

An excellent telephone manner

A clean UK driving license

Excellent all round IT Skills including Microsoft package

Requirements:

Strong communication skills (face to face, phone, and email)

Prior knowledge of health & safety within the construction industry (to help with the preparation of risk assessments, method statements etc)

The ability to multi-task without losing composure

Excellent organization skills

Excellent attention to detail

The ability to work to tight deadlines

Hours: Monday - Friday (9am -5pm)
