We are looking for an accounts manager for a 15 month contract which is part maternity cover and part other cover. We would prefer a full time member of staff on Monday to Friday 9 to 5 but we will consider flexible working and/or a job share to get the right candidate.
We are an independent property management company with 700 properties under management, also residential leasehold management, estate agency and property investment. We have 3 branches but the accounts side for the branches is consolidated. Experience of property accounts in some way is required, experience of residential lettings account is preferred. We are ARLA licensed agent and experience of client accounting complying with their requirements would be ideal.
Your duties will also include monthly payroll using Sageone, Vat returns, supervising the accounts assistants and liaising with the directors. Inputting of invoices and bank reconciliation in Sage. Ideally entering all information in Sage for the management accounts.
We use Excel spreadsheet a lot so you will need to be proficient at this - capable of setting them up, comfortable with formulas and pivot tables.

Immediate start preferred. Based in our Southend office. We will consider home working but around 20 hours a week should be in the office.
