Accounts Manager

My client came into being on 1 August 2010. It is the UK's only chartered professional body dedicated to educating, developing and regulating business men and women concerned with managing risk and uncertainty, based both in the UK and internationally.

Your new role
To manage all the day to day financial transaction processing, to ensure the smooth running of the financial accounting for the whole organisation. Their turnover is £27 Million per annum.

What you'll need to succeed
Experienced people manager with the ability to develop and manage a Finance staff.
Ability to make a balanced judgement between ensuring compliance with procedures and practicalities for the organisation as a whole.
Experience of using a general ledger (Coda Dream or similar) is essential as well as managing links to other systems such as a CRM or similar
Good IT skills and in particular, Excel (intermediate level at least), Access and Word
Decent financial accounting knowledge, gained through experience or qualification, covering all ledgers, capital accounting, reconciliations and preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
Good communicator with all levels of staff and other stakeholders
Ideally a part qualified accountant or AAT qualified
Payroll experience would be an advantage

What you'll get in return
