Are you an ACCA / ACA qualified Accounts Manager / Business Services Manager from a practice background with 3+ years PQE looking for your next challenge? Are you keen to work for a medium sized London based practice that specialises in Music, Media, Entertainment, TV, Creative & Sport Clients? Are you looking to work in a high profile role, working directly with one of the senior partners of the firm and manage a portfolio of high profile, predominantly music based clients (but will also include a number of media, creative and entertainment clients)? Your role will be accounts and tax based: You will manage your own portfolio of clients, be the main point of contact and also be responsible for managing a team of 8 and answering any queries from both clients and junior staff. You will be responsible for 3 areas - managing and servicing the portfolio of clients, managing a team of accountants, and providing a high quality compliance and advisory service to your clients. You will offer advice on a wide range of financial issues, including accounting, tax, cashflow, budgets and extracting income from businesses. You will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, Vat returns and offer clients general advice on how to improve their business and profitability. There will also be an element of business development in your role, bringing in new clients as well as ensuring that existing clients are kept happy. Your role will be a mixture of being hands on and also supervisory / reviewing. Your role will be varied, challenging, yet hugely enjoyable. This role would best suit candidates from a small or medium sized practice firm carrying out a similar accounts and advisory based position.
To be considered for this new position you must be a qualified ACCA / ACA and ideally have 3 or more years Post qualification experience. You will currently be working for a UK based accountancy practice firm and currently be operating at Manager level or be operating as an Assistant Manager and be looking to step up to manager grade. You must have experience managing your own portfolio of client and service clients to a very high standard. You need to have experience preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, reviewing work and handling all client queries. Experience of, or a strong interest in music, media, entertainment and creative clients is also required. Experience of a range of software packages, particularly CCH Accounts Production and Xero, is an advantage. You must also possess very strong communication skills and be smart in appearance, since the role involves regular contact with high profile clients.
