Are you an Accounts Junior, Accounts Trainee or Trainee Accountant studying the AAT qualification with between 12 and 36 months of experience in a small to medium sized accountancy firm? Are you keen to upgrade to a Top 60 London based practice that specialises in working with very high profile media, Film & TV, creative, sport and entertainment clients? Would you like the opportunity to work with many large and established household names, famous individuals as well as some very interesting start up businesses as well as large listed companies? If so, this growing Top 60 accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in Central London is looking to recruit a new Accounts Junior / Accounts Trainee due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from much larger firms. Your role will be varied, and will include bookkeeping assignments using Quickbooks and Xero (training will be provided where necessary), assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts (again training will be provided where necessary), VAT returns, simple tax returns and various reports, analysis and business management assignments for a wide range of very interesting clients. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. You will work in a medium size and well established team that will provide you with many growth and development opportunities in the future.
To be considered for this new role it is likely you will be a part qualified AAT or soon to be qualified AAT (although candidates that have just started the ACCA will still be considered). You must have at least 12 - 18 months experience working for a UK based practice firm, and have experience of the above duties, particularly bookkeeping and Vat returns and ideally the preparation of basic statutory accounts. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Quickbooks, sage and particularly Xero, would be an advantage. It is likely you will have an interest in media, creative and Film & TV clients, but also be keen to gain exposure to other sectors. You must be looking to upgrade to a mid tier practice where you can continue with your accountancy career and work on an interesting client base.
