Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly reputable independent firm of accountants in Oxford who are now keen to add an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to their growing team.

This progressive and well renowned firm boast a diverse client portfolio, allowing them to give their staff exposure to a broad range of clients from a wide array of industry sectors.

They are seeking an individual whose role will involve a mixture of accounts, tax and audit work. The varied nature of the role makes it ideal for an individual who is keen to develop into a well-rounded practice accountant.

The ideal candidate will have varied general practice experience including experience of assisting on Audit assignments on a variety of clients and will hold either the AAT qualification or may have begun studying towards the ACA / ACCA qualifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
Preparation of accounts for sole traders, and partnerships
Assist in the preparation of the audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives

Skills:

AAT Qualified or studying towards ACA / ACCA
Experience of assisting on audit assignments
