Role: Accounts Assistant
Rate: £150p/d (dependant on experience)
A leading Insurance company is looking for an accounts assistant to join their team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. You will be reporting to the Central Accounting Manager ensuring completion of monthly general ledger account reconciliation and assisting in the SOX testing process.
As an Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the following:
-Liaising with offshore service centre and procurement team
-Assist SOX Manager in testing key controls
-Preparing and uploading regular journals
-Assist in Vendor reactivation process
-Providing cover for the other parts of the team: Accruals, AR, fixed assets and Intercompany processes
Ideally you will have:
-Experience with working in a financial control environment
-Good excel skills
-Cognos and Peoplesoft system skills are desirable
