The role:We are looking to recruit an accounts assistant to join our busy accounts department. The role is initially a temp position, with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.Our company is in the construction industry, in the area of sports and safety surfacing.You will join a team of 3 and get involved in various different duties, as follows:-
Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger.
Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and inputting invoices.
Processing supplier payments and reconciling statements.
Helping resolve queries in an efficient and effective manner.
Payment run preparation.
Raising sales invoices.
Chasing outstanding payments by phone and in writing, whilst ensuring a debt chasing culture is administered correctly in line with client needs.
Updating the sales ledger with payments received.
You will require proven experience within accounts administration, ideally including sales and purchase ledger.
Accurate and timely data entry skills.
Understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service and willing to go above and beyond to achieve it.
Excellent communication skills, with a professional and confident telephone manner.
High level of attention to detail, numerate and literate.
Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise and work towards deadlines.
Resilient with a proactive approach, determination and a 'can do’ attitude.
Good levels of IT literacy including working knowledge of accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel.The position is available immediately, and salary will be dependent on experience.Our offices are based in the Centre of Wilmslow, and are close to rail and bus routes, with car parks close by if you are a driver.
