POSITION: Account Assistant

LOCATION: Capenhurst, Chester

HOURS: Monday - Friday 9;00am - 5:00pm will consider part time, between these hours

SALARY: £18,000-£20,000p/a DOE

Our client is a vegetation management company who are expanding their operation based in Cheshire, we are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to offer support to the Accounts Manager.

Job specification:

  • Generate and ensure invoices are logged into the system correctly
  • Assist with purchase and sales ledger using Sage 50
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Check expenses and receipts to ensure they are accurately recorded
  • Processing hours of work onto Excel for payroll
  • Perform general administration/ office duties, such as answering phone
  • Assist with Customer Complaint Tracking system and follow process, ensuring customer is kept up to date
  • Generate quotations for customers
  • Support team with general administrative duties such as typing correspondence and filing

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • AAT qualified/studying advantage but not necessity
  • Good Excel and knowledge of Sage 50
  • Excellent communication and Customer Service skills
  • Ability to support the wider team with ad-hoc administration
