Your new firm
Your new firm are a successful accountancy practice who deal with over 1500 clients across the country. They are currently going through a period of sustained growth therefore they're looking to expand their accounts team and business. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain experience within a successful practice and gain on the job training and development.
Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for preparing accounts for sole traders and limited companies allowing you to develop your general practice skill set. You will manage your own portfolio of clients building relationships and liaising with them face to face. You will also be involved with VAT returns and tax computations. Over time you will gain more responsibility within the role and start to manage a larger portfolio of clients. You will be joining a friendly close knit team that support each other to achieve success.
What you'll need to succeed
The partner is seeking an individual that is either currently studying towards their AAT level 3 and has gained at least 6 months experience already within an accountancy practice. You must be able to display a professional demeanour as well as strong communication skills as you will be liaising with both colleagues and clients on a daily basis. You should be able to work efficiently and effectively in order to meet deadlines and targets and be an organised individual. The partner is looking to appoint someone who is personable, ambitious and passionate about pursuing a career within accounts.
