Accounts Assistant - 12 month FTC
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join this top 5 construction Management firm's London Head office. This is a fixed term contract of 12 months to start ASAP so to be considered you must be available immediately or on a very short notice period.
This is a varied accounting role, with key focuses on subcontractor management and month end processes. This role will suit a keen self-starter who has excellent Excel skills and keen to increase their accounts experience!
Areas of Responsibility include:
Subcontractor Management - Setup new accounts with full compliance checks, annual compliance maintenance - ensuring details are reviewed regularly e.g. insurance, health & safety policy etc, payments. Weekly payment runs for project teams, ensuring CIS compliant - correct labour deductions made before payments finalized, deal with any adhoc requests for early payment discount applications, remittance processing & CIS return preparation for monthly payments made.
Accounts Receivable - Processing of invoices/credit notes for project teams & maintenance of manual AR schedule, including chasing project teams for updates.
Cashflow - Daily cashflow report preparation for management (UK and US), weekly cashflow forecast preparation, including liaising with project teams, monthly bank reconciliation preparation, including fx and monthly summaries for US reporting.
Monthly Accounting - Processing main monthly accounting & WIP journals, review of staff timecards and posting of Intercompany charges for US/Ireland.
Reporting - Monthly balance sheet reconciliation preparation & compilation for review, monthly staff report preparation around utilisation & churn & quarterly reports for US review.
Annual - Help with year end close & audit.
Who we are looking for:-
We are looking for a practical self starter who has a hands approach and willing to get stuck in and help in other areas. The chosen individual will be highly practical, not just process driven, and able to think outside the box. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is organized, able to juggle a busy workload and reprioritise where necessary. Excellent Excel skills is essential including the ability to user formulas. Experience in a similar role is essential.
12 month Fixed Term Contract Salary - £30-33k
