Accounts Assistant

My client is a leading business based in Sheffield it is within easy reach of Sheffield centre and has on site parking. An experienced administrator with some knowledge of accounts /billing is required to join the team.

The Role
Key responsibilities of this role will include but will not be limited to:
* Billing/invoice processing.
* Taking credit payments over the phone.
* Posting financial transactions onto bespoke system.
* Assisting with expenses and any other accounts/billings related queries.
* Checking quoted costings, health and safety plans and engineer paperwork.
* Dealing with/resolving any client invoicing/payment queries.
* Cancelling cheques, paying in cheques.
* Providing centralised support to the Finance department.

The Candidate
Successful applicants will have strong technical expertise and will come from an accounts admin/accounts support background ideally. You must be IT literate and have confidence in your ability to adapt/learn quickly. An understanding of supporting clients and the principles of client care is necessary, as well as a professional, can-do working attitude. You will ideally have a relevant professional qualification relating to administration or accounts to support your application.

The Reward
In return, our client is able to offer a competitive basic salary between £15,000 and £16,000 (DOE). Also available; attractive working hours, a company pension (after qualifying period) and 21 days holiday plus 8 stats.
