Your new company
You will be joining a two partner, well-established accountancy practice based in Manchester. They stride themselves upon providing an excellent service to their growing client base. As a result of this growth, they are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Manchester.
Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant you will be required to work with a portfolio of clients from a wide range of industries. You will prepare the bookkeeping, undertaking bank reconciliations, VAT returns and sales and purchase ledger as well as preparing the accounts for manager review. Over time your role will see you take on more and more complex accounts giving you the opportunity to really develop your knowledge. Your role may also see you assist in the Payroll team when necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you must have previous experience working within a firm of accountants. You should have been working within a similar role previously and ideally have used Sage to produce the account. You will be able to communicate with both colleagues and clients effectively and should be able to work under limited supervision, to deadlines and targets. Ideally, you will be AAT level 4 qualified, or currently studying towards it.
