Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm

We are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to work for an international manufacturing business with two offices in the UK. This role will be a temporary position for a period of 3 months and will then transfer to a permanent role with the organisation.

You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will have a varied role mainly completing Accounts Payable but cover will be required for Accounts Receivable Credit Control and Purchasing for their site in Market Harborough. There will also be assistance required for their other sites in the UK and Germany.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable, matching, batching and coding, and posting of invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and setting up of new suppliers
  • Query resolution
  • Production of customer invoices
  • Processing of payments
  • Entering product costings
  • General office duties

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience within an accounts payable / receivable role is essential
  • Numerate with a good eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and support other areas when needed
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and SAP is essential

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (30 mins lunch)
