Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger

£10-12 per hour

  • Standard working week 39 hours
  • Hours: 8am until 4:30pm Mon - Thurs 8am - 3:30pm Friday
  • Holidays: 23 days per year plus 8 bank holidays

We currently have a superb opportunity for Accounts Assistant / purchase ledger to join our well established Engineering Company based in Abingdon.

  • Arrange payment of all supplier invoices
  • Supplier and general ledger reconciliations when required
  • Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts and annual budgets
  • Collection of credit card statements and input to Sage. Reconciliation of the account on a monthly basis
  • Resolve queries with suppliers or customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide assistance to other parts of the Group as and when required
  • Contribute to the future success of the business by developing processes and controls to aid workflow
  • Ensure all financial controls are adhered to at all times
  • Issuing Invoices

Knowledge and experience

  • Good computer skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Professional manner
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Team player
