Part time Accounts Assistant – Immediate Start!
Reed are currently recruiting for a local manufacturing company with a global customer base to report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for all transactional accounts on a part time basis: 20-25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with flexibility to work at home on some occasions. There will ultimately be a permanent job, but initially the job will be on a temporary basis for 3 months, with an immediate start.
• Daily bank recs and processing of receipts in US Dollars and Sterling
• Recording sales receipts, dealing with foreign currency and calculating charges
• Day to day sales and purchases ledgers transactions
• Matching purchase orders to delivery notes
• Process purchase payments
• Dealing with staff expenses: review, check and payment
• Process Payroll return for outsource payroll provider – posting to ledger
• Calculation of overtime payments and pension contributions
• Process month end journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Calculation of quarterly VAT returns
• Ad hoc admin support to small team
• Accounts prepared using Sage Line 50
