Our client an insurance company based in London, urgently require an Accounts Assistant to join their Accounts department on a permanent basis.
They are looking for a candidate with previous accounting experience with Insurance environment experience with good Excel & Word. AAT study support is available as our client are keen to train and develop their staff.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include:
Updating ledger accounts banking details.
Processing payment requests to suppliers and currency sales.
Reconciliations of ledger accounts.
Completing regular Client Money Tests.
Working closely with the FX desks regarding currency sales.
Reconciling the multiple currency bank accounts.
Posting all cash entries.
Successful Accounts Assistant will have:
Previous insurance experience.
Previous Accountancy experience
Good at dealing with confident and strong personalities in a business of circa 30 staff
Strong attention to detail and not be afraid to question things.
Proficient in Excel and Word (essential).
Familiarity of using Riskpro, Pegasus and Sage would be beneficial but not essential.
