Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper - Part-time 25 Hours per week

We have a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join an ambitious and dynamic company that work with a range of global brands. The role will be completing transactional accounting along with payroll and VAT returns. You will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working with a team who operate with passion and integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of accounts payable (matching, batching and coding of invoices), raising payments via online banking
  • Reconciling supplier statements on a daily and weekly basis
  • All aspects of sales ledger and processing payments
  • Posting daily transactions to the general ledger
  • Payroll, PAYE and year end returns
  • Fixed asset register
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Petty cash reconciliation
  • Credit control
  • Client query resolution
  • VAT returns

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience within a similar role
  • AAT qualified or currently studying towards this is desirable
  • Experience with accounting software Sage 50, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and vlookups)
  • Good knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
  • Extremely organised and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently

Salary and benefits:

  • £20k - £28k depending on experience (pro-rata - normal working week 40 hours)

  • 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
