Accounts Assistant - Blackburn

Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their vibrant team located in the Blackburn area; which is situated near Accrington and Darwen. The role is full time (37.5 hours) on an initial 2 months contract.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals
  • Preparing statutory accounts
  • Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
  • Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries
  • Managing petty cash transactions
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt
  • Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits

Job requirements:

  • AAT Qualified
  • Experience on Sage/equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience is required
