The firm are experiencing exponential growth and are looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Assistant to join their growing team. Your new role
In your new role as Accounts & Audit Assistant, you will work towards managing your own portfolio of clients which will consist of a wide variety of SMEs and owner managed businesses. You will report into a fully qualified accountant who will give you first rate training in the audit process, including planning and conducting audits, performing effective risk control assessments as well as acquiring a good working knowledge of the clients' businesses. You will also research and analyse financial statements, and audit related issues. Additionally, you will be given the opportunity to take part in the accounts side of the business including the preparation of statutory annual accounts for partnerships, LLPs, smaller businesses.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have previously worked in a Chartered Accountancy firm and have previous experience working with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Part-Qualified ACCA/ICAS (or equivalent) professional qualifications would be advantageous, however QBE candidates will also be considered.
An exposure to audit would also be desirable but not necessary; providing you are a strong communicator and come from a practice background.
