Accountant

My client, a prestigious organisation within education and based in the Oxford City Centre, has an exciting opportunity to join their team as an Accountant!

The Accountant will be a vital part of the accounting team, and will be responsible for accurate financial recording, ensuring internal controls are maintained and will work closely with the Financial Controller.

The successful candidate will be entitled to a salary of between £45k-51k, a leading benefits package and hybrid working.

The Role

• Lead monthly accounts production cycle and prepare management accounts
• Manage and forecast operational cashflows
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are documented on a monthly basis
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Undertake variance analysis of costs against budget

The Ideal candidate

• Knowledge and experience of Management Accounts production, bookkeeping procedures, expenditure control, account reconciliation and consolidations
• Advanced IT skills
• Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential
• A knowledge of Payroll processes or an eagerness to learn
• Qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CIMA Etc) is desirable but not essential, happy to consider funding
