Our client seek a semi senior/ assistant accountant to join their practice, who is ideally studying AAT and has a minimum of two years experience in a firm of accountants.

The role is based in Milton Keynes with the option of hybrid after probation

You will exude positivity, energy and passion while being approachable, a good listener and a clear communicator?

Dig deep into the numbers of a business and quickly spot discrepancies and areas of concern?

Provide a quality service to our clients?

Build a great rapport with clients and trusted 3rd party providers something you could embrace and deliver?

What the role will involve:

Accounts Preparation for small business clients including reconciliations, analysis of numbers, posting depreciation, tax provisions, accruals and prepayments.

Analysis of income statement and balance sheet to ensure all transactions are identified and treated in line with accounting standards.

Provide training and support to clients using online accounting software, ensuring that bank feeds are live and accounting entries are up to date.

Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and managing registration and deregistration processes

Monthly CIS reporting for a small number of clients within the construction industry

Presentation of financial reports to management and clients, assisting with periodic reviews and simple tax planning

Completion of self-assessment tax returns for company directors, the self-employed and property landlords.
