Role overview

This is an absolutely unique opportunity for an experienced Account & Portfolio Support, Quality and Risk Manager to join one of our largest and most exciting IT sites in a very varied and rewarding role. Leading and managing a team of administrative employees across a breadth of project and administrative disciplines who provide support to the delivery functions of the Account, this is a hugely vital role where you work closely with Project Managers, vet employees and coordinate all starters and leavers activities, with responsibility for ensuring the Account delivers assurance and quality tasks and processes in line with their contractual obligations, as well as aligning with corporate standards. You will also capture, monitor and track Account level risks on behalf of the Account Director. Please note that it is essential that you hold or are eligible for SC Clearance for this fantastic opportunity.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Account & Portfolio Support (APS) office, which provide administrative support to all delivery functions of the Account, as well as the vetting and on boarding elements of all employees.

  • Provide the liaison on the account on all building management support activities.

  • Responsible for ensuring the Account delivers assurance and quality tasks and processes in line with their contractual obligations, as well as aligning with corporate standards.

  • Capture, monitor and track Account level risks on behalf of the Account Director.

  • Ownership and management of the Account QMS and associated processes and Account Handbook

  • Direct influence on the profitability of the project delivery service and on the support to the delivery functions of the Account. Team are skilled in Microsoft Office applications and have built-in resiliency and succession plans to support all tasks they perform.

  • Track project expenditure, scrutinise financial bookings for Portfolio Delivery personnel and provide coordination and control of resource teams in support of delivery.

  • Provide an active administrative role in the upkeep and presentation of the portfolio project and dependency forecast.

  • Single transactional point of contact for formal documentation to and from The Client, administer SharePoint sites for all project related activity, and be the custodian of the corporate web site on The Clients IT network.

  • Own and maintain the Account Risk and Issues Log and process, and brief Account Director

  • Attend customer Risk reviews

  • Ensure the Risk process remains aligned to the contractual standard and Sopra Steria best practice.

Essential skills

  • Extensive experience as a Line Manager.

  • Team player with fair, authoritative manner.

  • Ability to brief and present to senior management.

  • Competent in all common Microsoft suite applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), with a working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Project.

  • Working knowledge of project management processes.

  • Awareness and experience of Risk and Issue Management.

  • Working knowledge of Quality Management

Desirable skills

  • PRINCE 2 qualified.

  • Working knowledge of Service Desk Express (SDE).

  • Management of Risk qualified.

  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Project.

  • ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC9001
