Account Manager (IT Software)

£30,000 - £40,000 DOE plus uncapped commission and excellent benefits

Monday - Friday 40 hours per week

Manchester City Centre (2-3 days per week will be field based)

Our client, a leading software company based in Manchester city centre is looking to recruit an Account Manager to join their team due to growth within the business. As the Account Manager you will be predominantly field based attending new business meetings and service reviews for current clients. You are likely to spend 2-3 days in the field across the country and 2 days per week in their Manchester city centre office.

As the Account Manager for this award winning technology company, who provide software to businesses of all industries and sectors you will be a key part to their Field Sales and Account Management Team. With a very credible conversion rate of 1 in every 2 meetings converted, you will continue to build on the brand's success and be responsible for the following;

  • Liaising with the office based Lead Generators and Inside Sales Consultants in regards to new business and leads
  • Bringing in new business by attending meetings that have been arranged by the Inside Sales Consultants
  • Providing a strong yet consultative sales pitch at business meetings
  • Demonstrating the products on site
  • Negotiating deals and contracts for new business
  • Nurture and manage current accounts
  • Support current business with contract extensions and upgrades
  • Identify new business opportunities

To achieve this, you will need to work closely with internal sales teams, marketing and implementation consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and add value to customer expectations. You will be expected to identify new opportunities proactively by employing innovative techniques, out-of-the-box strategies and growing an industry network.

To be considered for this opportunity you must possess Sales experience from your most recent or current employer. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;

Experience in Sales and Account Management is essential

  • Experience in IT, Software or Technology sales
  • Proven track record of B2B sales
  • Degree educated is a must- 1st or 2:1 (Educated to Masters would be advantageous)
  • Genuine interest in technology and software
  • Creative yet analytical
  • Strong team player who can be part of a team and lead by example
