Account Manager

ROCK Recruitment are working with a well-established, full service marketing agency, who are looking for an Account Manager to join their team in their Leicester office. The key role of the Account Manager is to be the client's main point of contact, offering excellent service and ensuring that business is carried out professionally, profitably and efficiently. The Account Manager will liaise with the Production Department, Creative/Copy team and the Studio Manager ensuring efficient communication of client needs, objectives and outcomes.

Responsible to: Account Director

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote develop and extend the business of the company by presenting the professional, client focused face of the company
  • Ensure the account team provides service excellence for the client
  • To help communicate the client's work requirements to the appropriate agency personnel by use of ALF, New Dawn, the Google Forecast Document, Contact Reports and individual briefing meetings NB Contact Reports should be produced and issued with 24 hours of client contact
  • To manage and update an appropriate Work in Progress system that will enable all team members to accurately check the status of client jobs
  • To ensure that all work is progressed smoothly, economically and within agreed timescales
  • To undertake client and competitor research as required
  • Attend on site visits and gather relevant details, as required
  • To occasionally assist other departments, as required to cover sickness or holidays

Key disciplines:

  • Progression of brochures, including CGIs, local area photography, site plans, etc
  • Development of sales office concepts from design to installation
  • Preparation and updating of media schedules in conjunction with media partner and under the supervision of the Account Manager(s)
  • Updating portals, as required
  • Briefing emailers/SMS/leaflets and other media, as required
  • Assisting the Account Manager(s) in maintaining client website content

Performance measures:

  • Work is produced on time and to agreed budgets
  • Overall creativity of the work produced
  • Client satisfaction
  • Good working relationship with team members

Required experience and qualifications:

  • At least 4 years' experience in a similar agency role
  • Relevant degree in marketing and communications is preferred
  • A strong focus on accuracy, effective communication (clients, in-house teams and third parties) and self-development
  • Excellent project management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Creative thinking (to be able to successfully present ideas to clients)
  • Inspire confidence, credibility and trust in our work to all clients
  • Ability to adapt to different situations and to be flexible
  • Self-confidence, initiative and personal organisation

Desirable:

  • Experience and an understanding of the UK residential housing market
  • Experience of line managing
