Job Description

Position: Account Manager
Reporting to: Sales Support Manager
Location: Bournemouth

Primary Function:
The main function of this role is to detail, educate, sell and drive distribution of designated products from our client's product portfolios by telephone to specified customers within set time frames.

Provide tactical coverage for specific assignments and field force coverage as required. The role will be working on the well established account and will be assisting the management of large brands.

Key Responsibilities:
oDrive Distribution of client products predominantly through transfer orders
oDetail and educate pharmacy staff directly and through issuing of client's educational materials
oSell over the counter products to pharmacies at agreed prices and deal levels
oAchieve set KPIs each cycle to include: distribution, education & detailing, average daily call rate, orders & value/volumes
oTo develop new business on territory
oTo cover sickness, holidays and other absences of field-based pharmacy sales representatives
oTo provide additional support by telephone to clients during specific drives
oTo adhere to the telesales steps of the call
oTo utilise the reports available to help with target achievement
oTo ensure that daily administration is completed, and advice of call booklets sent out to pharmacies in advance of the proposed telesales call
oTo complete all order processing and recording & administration efficiently and accurately
oSelf-monitor performance to ensure that call rates and standards are met and maintained
oLiaise with the Sales Support Manager on a weekly basis to ensure that KPIs are met and maintained
oAttend external meetings which may require overnight stays on occasion.
oTo carry out any other reasonable task in relation to the overall job, as required

oPC literate - including working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
oPrevious telesales sales experience
oAbility to build ongoing relationships

oDevelop and maintain knowledge of the industry
