Account Manager - UK and Ireland

Working for one of the global leaders in the provision of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets. IDC. They are looking for an Account Manager who will be responsible for the UK and Irish markets selling into defined territories products that help IT professionals, business executives, and the investment community make fact-based decisions on technology purchases and business strategy. You will ideally be a Business Developer, with preferred relevant experience selling into medium-large technology vendors or similar

The role requires a proven acumen for selling a wide portfolio of technology research, business consulting, marketing services and event sponsorships, to senior level functions at the UK & Ireland subsidiary level.

You will manage a portfolio of UK and Ireland account subsidaries, planning and and executing sales strategy to develop relationships and build account plans to identify and drive new business opportunities. Sales and target driven you will meet all annual sales targets set and achieve goals to undertake regular business reviews with management to evaluate performance and client growth opportunities

This role will suit a Business Developer, with preferred relevant experience selling into medium-large technology vendors or similar

  • Proven new Business skills to uncover customer decision criteria and recognize how to approach the sale from the customer viewpoint
  • An understanding of Market Research/Advisory services and the role it plays within vendor organizations is preferred
  • Ambitious, high potential sales professional who is seeking a challenging career opportunity with an international culture
  • Capability to frame integrated solutions to senior level clients/prospects and conversant with the "language" of senior decision makers professionals
  • Ability in translating business objectives into solution frameworks and compelling proposals
  • Collaborative team player
  • 3+ years experience in selling in both the UK and Irish Markets
