The Company: My client is a well-known and prestigious manufacturer of the highest quality antibodies. Their clients include all the major drug discovery organisations throughout the world and as well as academic and public funded research institutes. These new recruitments represent further progress on their plan of structured growth which is happening not just in the UK but across all major W European markets.

The Role: The Account Manager is responsible for achieving channel objectives, KPIs and targets at assigned customers within the UK Market. As such you will responsible for all sales in the UK to, predominantly, the drug discovery sector by managing and motivating distributors who in turn call on that sector as well as some academic and research institute accounts


. To give scientific product support to both colleagues and customers

. To train local Account Managers how to best support their customers and how to draw new potential customers

. To establishes productive, professional relationships with key

personnel in assigned customer accounts.

. To proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an

on-going basis

. To develop timely and accurate forecasts (volume and spend) for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year

. To conduct presentations, seminars and workshops to customers

. To ensure optimal customer feedback with regard to product requirements, product enhancement and local trends

. To support our marketing team in the development of campaigns/promotions

. To strive to maximum customer satisfaction

. Frequent customer visits

. Responsible for preparing reports

The Person:

. Bachelor or PHD in life science or Cell Biology, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology

. 2 years’ experience in a similar role

. Good knowledge and understanding in the field of immunology

. Good knowledge of full product catalogue

. Excellent communication and organizational skills
