Account Manager - Insurance Experience

An exciting new opportunity in Cardiff Central has opened up. A Global Financial Insurance company has opened a new branch earlier last year in Cardiff, they are looking for an Account Manager with Insurance experience to join their team.


  • Highly competitive salary of up to £23,000 but for the right person with strong commercial insurance experience this is highly negotiable

The role:

  • Take inbound calls from new clients, these inbound calls are generated via market led advertising, branch schemes and referrals from within the business
  • Provide clear and professional overview and detailed product information
  • Fully understanding the client requirement
  • Produce quotations and place cover for the client
  • Provide and then negotiate new business quotations considering variables
  • Maintain accurate records and producing relevant documentation
  • Be available to deal with client calls / emails
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to client instructions requests and enquiries at all times
  • Hand complaints in accordance with the agreed complaints procedure - referring to other departments or management if necessary

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of working in the commercial insurance market (not general insurance)
  • Very strong interpersonal, communication skills both written and verbal
  • Inbound call experience directly from customers being first point of contact
  • Highly organised and have strong analytical skills
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to negotiate renewals with customers successfully
