Account Manager - Business intelligence to the Aviation sector

Are you looking for an Account Manager role for a leading media company? We have a great role for a brilliant client, selling Business Intelligence and Data Services.

OTE of £70k+ with excellent basic salary.

You should have solid experience of selling business intelligence/information/Data.

The Role

The primary responsibility of the role is revenue generation from a defined territory, selling our clients business intelligence services. Responsibilities include procuring new business while maintaining, servicing and renewing existing accounts to meet monthly and annual sales goals. The Account Manager is an integral part of the Intelligence and Data Services division.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Writing, executing and presenting proposals for new and incremental business

  • Negotiating agreements to provide access to your clients.

  • Participate in and contribute to the development of an annual sales plan to achieve new and renewal business sales goals

  • Lead identification and generation to implement sales strategies defined by the Director and target accounts

  • Active upkeep of CRM system

  • Attending conferences and /or exhibits as required, to sell our client's products, collect competitive intelligence and acquire sales leads.

  • Maintain and create strong relationship with industry customers and contacts

  • Provide Voice of Customer input to product teams and create continuous feedback loop for improvements

As an Account Manager you will be expected to:

  • Actively contribute to delivering and shaping company growth

  • Work closely with all key departments

  • Work with Director and Managing Director to deliver product and revenue targets

  • Contribute to the improvement and development of products by providing input from customers

  • Be a role model who promotes company strategy and culture

  • Work closely with key accounts, agencies, associations and professional bodies to network and created new contacts and lead

Qualities needed for the role

  • Passionate about driving sales and growth

  • Excellent, authentic, persuasive communicator capable of constructively challenging and being challenged

  • Commercially driven with a track record of delivering targeted revenue

  • Attention to detail and superior organizational skills

  • Strategic thinker who is able to generate ideas and deliver on them profitably

Skills / Experience Required

  • Experience in a sales/business development role, ideally business intelligence or media sales

  • Financial planning and budgeting

  • Idea generator, initiative-taker and ability to think strategically

  • Excellent negotiation and rapport building skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

For the right person the salary is excellent as is the uncapped commission, so high earning potential is available.
