The role

A market leader, our client is focused on implementing innovative optical technologies into their specialist range of diagnostic and surgical equipment. They have an impressive reputation for providing healthcare professional with outstanding products.

We are seeking a sales professional to join their established UK team to focus on the West Midlands region, supporting commercial sales for a base of fast-moving and high-value product portfolio.

On this occasion, our client is most interested in candidates that have strong new business development and account defence-based skills that can be transferred into the medical industry. They seek someone who has the tenacity, self-motivation and autonomy to drive new business through pro-active approaches in the market. The successful candidate needs to be motivated to develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Surgeons, Nurses and Technicians, Procurement and commercial teams within the NHS and private healthcare sectors.

The requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable track record of working within a sales and business development role;

  • Ideally degree educated or equivalent
  • Proven track record of winning new business
  • Experience of convoluted sales channels
  • Clear communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders and customers
  • Technically minded with the ability to absorb information and translate this into engaging information for the customer
