The Opportunity

Thompson & Terry are working with our rapidly-expanding automotive client who is looking to recruit a confident and enthusiastic Account Manager into their Leeds office.

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for making outbound cold calls in order to sell our client's unique motor-based product to other businesses. Once the candidate has secured a sale, they will be required to manage the account with a consultative approach, offering impeccable levels of customer service for the initial 6-months of their contract.

As Account Manager, your aim is to ensure that relationships are continually maintained and enhanced. This will involve regularly contacting each client, asking in-depth questions regarding their company needs, offering alterations or additional products accordingly and holding intelligent conversations in order to ultimately retain custom.

The successful Account Manager will therefore be able to easily pick up a detailed knowledge of the company, confidently discuss it over the phone, and have a good understanding of the client's needs. Additionally, the role will involve an element of up-selling and lead generation and so the confidence to sell is essential.

  • An excellent communicator, with experience of working in a heavily telephone-based role
