This is the perfect opportunity for a skilled and motivated insurance professional who is keen to develop their career as an Account Handler in the Private Client sector.

Playing a crucial role, your key responsibilities will be to maintain and grow strong relationships with existing clients, finding the best insurance solutions for them. You will also be working to help maximise revenue by proactively identifying cross-selling opportunities and contributing to new business growth.

Daily duties will involve enabling seamless and timely renewal experiences for clients by preparing renewal schedules, or negotiating and preparing alternative quotes for them. This will include efficiently and capably managing all the required accompanying documentation and credit control. In addition, you will skilfully handle new business queries and quotations assisting the Account Executives, and work alongside a dedicated Claims Handler to provide efficient claims handling support. Throughout, you will ensure all aspects of your work meet compliance requirements.

The company is a well-established, purpose-led independent insurance broker with over 60 years’ experience. Right now, the company is rapidly expanding and has ambitious growth plans - offering fantastic career and personal development opportunities for talented insurance professionals who share its ethos.

However, the company is part of something bigger. It belongs to an innovative and diverse wider international group of over 30 financial services businesses that exist to give profits to good causes. With a 135-year history, this unique group operates a culture of kindness, great ambition and the drive to “do better and be better”. Owned by a charity, the group is currently the UK’s third largest corporate donor (having given away £200m since 2016) and aims to become the UK’s number one corporate donor, with strategic objectives in place to double its current size.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a proven track record working within broking, underwriting, claims or insurance administration, ideally working with household products would be preferable, including high-net-worth individuals.

To thrive, you will be experienced in all aspects of delivery for clients across a range of relevant insurance products. The role also requires sound knowledge of a wide range of insurance products and companies, and of FCA requirements within a broking role.

To succeed in this role, you will need the inn   ate ability to establish and nurture solid and positive relationships: with clients, insurers/underwriters and with colleagues. You will also be a confident communicator (written and oral) and strong negotiator, and bring excellent organisational skills.

Hybrid flex working will be negotiable on successful completion of your 6-month probationary period. If hybrid flex working is agreed, you will be required to be office-based for only three days per week (to include Wednesday, which is a set day), however you will be free to define your own weekday working hours.

Exceptional career development opportunities will be offered, including funded support and financial incentives for all professional qualifications.

The very attractive benefits package includes employer pension contribution, annual bonus scheme, life assurance cover, 25 days’ annual leave with rises with length of service. It would be advantageous if candidates can drive, and free parking is available.

Based in a charming and bustling ‘hidden gem’ Oxfordshire town, the Cotswolds will be on your doorstep, as well as great connections to London and further afield.
