This is an exciting opportunity for an Account Handler to join our Commercial Trading department within our Broker team. In joining, you will find a fast paced environment and will learn about a broad range of products in order to become an expert in your role.
The Broker Team are responsible for identifying and meeting our customer’s insurance requirements through continual contact with the both the customer and our panel of insurers.
We currently have two vacancies; one in our New Business team and another in our Renewals and Admin team.Role
We are recruiting an Account Handler to join our New Business team or Renewals and Admin team. You will be liaising with customer’s daily, dealing with queries of policies and following up leads, whilst delivering excellent customer service.
In addition to regular customer contact, you will also have contact with our panel of insurers when making queries in regards to policies. You will be dealing with a broad range of different policies and products alongside working to company processes and FCA regulations.
You’ll be responsible for efficiently planning your own time to ensure you achieve the agreed new business income. As well as managing all leads, our colleagues are also encouraged to identify and develop new initiatives that will deliver sustainable growth and profit to the business from within our existing markets.
You will work 35 hours per week and the working hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 9am until 5pm.Person
This role will suit you if you have the ambition and drive to succeed in your career. You will be naturally highly driven by delivering a great service to customers and be looking to develop a new or existing career in insurance. You will already have developed strong communications skills through previous experience in a customer facing role.
You will have experience of working in a customer focused and target driven environment. Experience of selling insurance would be beneficial but it isn’t essential as we offer all new colleagues training both on the job and through formal CII or CFII qualifications. We do require all applicants to be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and possess a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
