An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a prestigious insurance broker within the professional risks team based in either West Sussex or London.
The ideal candidate for the Account Handler role will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial and professional lines business, will be comfortable with face-to-face client meetings, networking and business development to include broking own risks with brokers and underwriters if needed.
The main purpose of the Account Handler role is to support an Account Director, but you would also be expected to deal with incoming enquiries from existing clients, take risk information from new clients and account handle under direction of the management where needed.
The Account Handler Opportunity:
-Have a good market knowledge and awareness of underwriters and insurers within the UK market
-Review insurer placements to ensure that best advice is offered at all times
-Be comfortable on working within the Professional Indemnity market and commercial market from both a client and insurer prospective
-You will work with the FCA rules and guidance
-Hold and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and customer servicing skills.

Account Handler Skills/Experience required:
• Sound technical knowledge of professional indemnity and commercial insurance risk assessment, proposals and broking
• A proven track record in business development, renewal retention and commercial account handling with specific understanding of PI.
