You should either be an established Account Director looking to take more of a strategic business lead or a high-flying established and proven Manager acting in an AD capacity. In working in the planning team you'll be leading some of the smartest agencies and clients to become a truly rounded business lead. It's a fantastic role from someone hungry and skilled who wants to help influence and transform a client's business not just their media mix.
You'll work closely alongside 3 other Account Director leads who are responsible for the integrated planning output, and have the support of the Strategy Director and Managing Partner. It's a very sociable team with regular team and client events.
Responsibilities of Planning Account Director
*Working on some but not all of the brands in the group you'll be responsible for leading output across the agency on some of their leading consumer brands
*this role is about enabling change at the client end so you'll be constantly inspiring, challenging, evolving ways of working, and influencing messaging, content development, and brand activation
*You'll be working closely with the Heads Of Marketing and Marketing Managers across day to day operations to continue building momentum in transforming each of the different brands and to create award quality outputs
*You'll be presenting communication strategies and plans to some of the most Senior stakeholders
*Managing a multi-discipline team to ensure best in class implementation
*Helping shape the right kinds of briefs and working processes to find new and better ways of cracking the client challenges / making good on client opportunities
*Financial management and driving for revenue and project
*Overseeing performance based optimisation and delivery of client's business and communications KPIs
*Managing team integration and development, inspiration and productivity
*Ideally you've been working with blue-chip or fast-growing businesses with a strong e-commerce heart and responsible for providing integrated plans across many disciplines and even products.
*Due to the agency and client coordination element a key strength should be the ability to confidently take the lead in driving workshop and ideation sessions and ensuring productivity, foster strong team integration, and be able to unite a room of differing opinions and perspectives.
*Whilst a background in response or performance based or data driven media is not critical you will need to be confident in holding discussions in this area.
*Experience in B2B or corporate marketing and a good understanding of the landscape would be useful but not critical.
*Experience in developing innovative and differentiating fundraising and engagement solutions in the charity sector would also be useful.
*Beyond this relevant category experience could include Telecomms, Financial Services, Utilities, E-Commerce, and Travel.
