One of the largest healthcare communications agencies in the UK, based in Victoria, SW London is looking for an Account Director to join its busy and thriving healthcare communications team. The company is part of a huge international group, giving it access to global resources to meet the demands of the burgeoning pharmaceutical communications industry.
The successful AD will be responsible for planning of weekly client activity, ensuring the delivery of profitable business on time and within budget. You will assume management responsibility for a small team of account handlers working on various accounts. You need to be somebody who is active within the strategic planning of the clients business, ensuring relevant client status and contact reports are correct; manage agendas for client meetings; run team meetings; and assume one of the lead roles in the preparation and presentation of proposals and client presentations. You will also be responsible for financial management including setting client budgets and ensuring profit targets are met and be constantly vigilant in order to grow the business opportunities from within the existing client base.
This is a job for somebody who is a graduate with a life science degree and who has a strong involvement in the healthcare communications market including selling and executing MedEd campaigns, and 5-years’ + experience within the business at Account Manager level or above.
