About the Team

The Employee Benefits team supports businesses of all sizes in designing and managing benefit programmes that genuinely support their people. This includes:

  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Group Income Protection
  • Group Life / Death-in-Service
  • Health Cash Plans and wellbeing support
  • Business Protection for key individuals

The team combines technical knowledge with a strong client-first approach, helping businesses enhance engagement and stand out through their employee offering.


The Role

As an Employee Benefits Account Broker, you’ll play a key part in delivering high levels of client service and managing strategic benefit solutions. You’ll work closely with clients, insurers, and internal teams to manage and administer employee benefits programmes.

You’ll handle a portfolio of clients, manage renewals and mid-term adjustments, support new business activity, and provide ongoing servicing across PMI, Group Risk, Dental, and Health Cash Plans.

Strong communication and organisation are essential, as this role sits at the centre of client, insurer, and internal team interaction.


Key Responsibilities

Team Contribution

  • Support team initiatives, targets, and KPIs
  • Assist colleagues and contribute to overall team success

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality service

Needs Analysis & Solutions

  • Understand client requirements and work with insurers to create tailored solutions
  • Support preparation of recommendations and proposals

Renewals & Mid-Term Adjustments

  • Manage renewals and policy changes accurately and on time
  • Attend client meetings alongside Account Executives

Compliance

  • Work in line with FCA requirements and internal procedures
  • Ensure documentation and processes meet regulatory standards

Systems & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records on Acturis
  • Use insurer portals and systems effectively

Workload Management

  • Organise workload to meet deadlines
  • Ensure income is recorded correctly

Personal Development

  • Complete CPD requirements and keep performance records up to date


What They’re Looking For

Essential

  • Strong understanding of the employee benefits market (PMI, Group Risk, Business Protection)
  • Knowledge of insurer markets and products
  • FCA and compliance awareness
  • Confident using CRM systems, insurer portals, and broker systems
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills

Desirable

  • Experience with SME and corporate clients
  • Knowledge of Acturis
  • Previous broking or client advisory experience within Employee Benefits
