Job Title: Accident repair Co-Ordinator
Pay rate: £8.50 per hour
Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm (must be flexible to work 1 in 2 saturday mornings)
Contract: Full-time, Temp - Perm.
Start: ASAP.

Reports to Zoe Matthews

Plans and co-ordinates Bodyshop activity to meet customer requirements and maximise utilisation and profitability

Key Job Areas :
Builds rapport and qualifies the customer's requirements

• Talks and listens to customers to build rapport and understand their requirements both their stated and unconscious requirements
• Uses a good understanding of the customer's needs to guide them towards the product or service that will best meet their needs
• Agrees the detail of the work that is to be carried out
• Provides accurate estimates for bodyshop work, ensuring that the customer is fully aware of the likely costs and timescales involved and setting expectations accordingly
• Schedules work to meet customer requirements, taking into account bodyshop utilisation targets, and job complexity and parts/materials availability
• Acts on opportunities to sell additional products/services and market current promotions wherever possible
• Agrees vehicle collection or loan car arrangements. Hands over loan car keys once all checks are complete and ensures that the customer is happy with the vehicle
• Co-ordinates bodyshop activity to deliver agreed work
• Liaises with After Sales to order parts. Notifies customer on arrival to allow work to be scheduled and minimise parts stockholdings (WIP)
• Prints job card with estimate, detailing any special requirements and distributes to the bodyshop briefing technicians where appropriate
• Co-ordinates the valeting of the customers vehicle and any work to be sublet
• Updates customer database to maintain accurate records of work carried out
• Processes and records warranty claims as per manufacturer's requirements
• Collects the excess payment from the customer's insurance company before releasing the car
• Updates the customer on progress
• Contacts customer to update on workshop progress, agreeing any additional spend and managing customer expectations re costs and timings
• Invoices customer on completion of work. Reviews invoice with the customer, providing a detailed explanation where necessary
• Checks loan car on return

Works as a full member of the Centre team

• Works with colleagues and other teams across the Centre to provide a seamless service to customers (e.g. by informally observing and responding to the needs of customers who are not being attended to by other members of staff)
• Ensures opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist

Customer Satisfaction (CES)
Customer Complaints
Customer Retention (eg. additional work for existing customers)
Teamworking with other teams across the Centre (especially Sales, Service and Parts)
