Academic Governance Officer

Permanent, full time (35 hrs/wk) - part time considered (minimum 0.6 FTE)

Based central Reading, Berkshire

Salary £26,000 - £30,000 FTE pa (depending on experience) plus benefits

If you are a highly organised and experienced secretary or administrator, and you want to work at a great place with great colleagues, then we want to hear from you! We are an online university college and our academic team have a busy schedule, teaching students as well as carrying out administration. A large part of their role involves attending internal, formal committee meetings, to discuss and debate important business, making recommendations, decisions and agreeing actions. Your contribution and input will be vital to our success in this area. At a high level, this is what we need you to undertake:

  • To make arrangements for committee meetings which run in accordance with our meeting calendar (organising agendas, rooms, invites - and much more);
  • To attend and take notes and minutes of meetings;
  • To follow up on actions and liaise with other teams within the university college;
  • To support the Academic Governance Manager with project co-ordination
  • To prepare and type reports, agendas, presentations and meeting papers.
